Summary of milestones

Phase One: June 2002 - Sept 2002

  1. Research proposal developed further in preparation for the peer review exercise to be conducted in October 2002
  2. Project re-named and key areas of activity (modules) developed
  3. The establishment of BE4's administrative and management infrastructure:
    development of contacts database
    • confirmation of steering group members, partners & advisers
    • scheduling of meetings for duration of project
    • monthly progress reports
    • scheduling of half-yearly progress reports (including finance reports) for our funders
    • conference, publication & future funding strategy initiated
  4. BE4 leaflets for service providers and participants created and reproduced (in English in the first instance) for dissemination in October 2002
  5. Logo for non-website material created
  6. BE4 website designed for launch in October 2002
  7. Additional formal and informal support secured from research and teaching staff at the University of Glamorgan (Professor Joyce Kenkre & Jim Richardson respectively)
  8. Application for the post(s) of Research Assistant and data collectors submitted for approval in order for posts to be advertised in October 2002
  9. Meetings with members of the steering group and representatives of key statutory and non-statutory organisations:

  10. E-mail discussion group established to disseminate information and provide an electronic framework for a flow of information from other projects related to our work.
